Description

Genuine and original Muurikka Electric Smoking Oven now as an even more versatile PRO version! The device can be used as an instantly ready smoker with smoking chips or as a normal outdoor oven without smoking chips, all year round. Thanks to the stepless temperature control, the temperature of the oven can be conveniently adjusted to suit a variety of dishes. Temperature control between 75–230°C. With the device, you can cook fish, meat, vegetables, seafood…your imagination is the only limit. The thermometer that mounted on the unit makes it easy to monitor and adjust the smoking temperature. Through the vent on the back of the smoker, excess moisture escapes from the appliance and the handle attached to the fat plate helps to take the food out of the smoker. The grating, fat plate and chip tray are dishwasher safe, so cleaning is easy. Muurikka Electric Smoking Oven has a handle fitted under the grating and fat plate, making it easies to take delicacies out of the Electric Smoking Oven.

Temperature control: position 1 = 75–110°C position 2 = 150–185°C position 3 = 190–230°C

Smoking at low temperature (90–110°C)

If you do not want the temperature to increase much above 100°C or to even leave it under 100°C, you should first heat the device at power level 3 to the desired temperature, and smoke will form inside the device. After the desired temperature has been reached, you can maintain it with power level 1. Not much smoke is generated at power level 1.

Smoking at medium temperature (150–180°C)

First increase the temperature of the device with power level 3 to the desired temperature, then maintain the temperature by turning the power regulator to position 2. Monitor the temperature with the thermometer and adjust the power lower or higher, as necessary.

Hot smoking (190–230°C)

When hot smoking, you do not need to adjust the power much; you can leave the device at power level 3 for the duration of smoking. When hot smoking, you can look at the clock to see when the food is cooked. Indicative hot smoking times can be found below.

Cleaning the Electric Smoking Oven

The Electric Smoking Oven is made of stainless steel. The removable inner parts, i.e. chip tray, drip tray and griddles, should be cleaned after each use. You can even wash the parts in a dishwasher. Tip! You can protect the chip and drip drays with aluminium foil, it will make cleaning easier. Especially if you use sugar cubes to add colour to fish, they easily melt onto the chip tray. We also recommend cleaning the inside of the electric smoking oven if a lot of soot and fat have accumulated on the walls. Remove the electric resistor from the smoking oven (the element is fixed with 1 lock nut), remove the resistor and its support from the smoker, after which you can clean the inside of the smoker with Muurikka Multicleaner.
